Testing Principle
The instrument determines the minimum oxygen concentration required to sustain combustion by igniting materials in precisely controlled oxygen-nitrogen gas mixtures. The oxygen index value represents the minimum oxygen volume percentage needed for a substance to maintain combustion of 50mm or for 3 minutes after ignition.
