- Composition: Consists of low-expansion foam generation system, standard foam gun, low-expansion foam collector, and low-expansion foam separation analyzer
- Low-expansion foam generation system: Composed of air inlet pipe, pressure-resistant storage tank, pressure gauge, foam liquid delivery pipe, and adjustable support
- Standard foam gun: When calibrated with water, at pressure of (0.63±0.03) MPa, water flow rate is (11.4±0.4) L/min
- Low-expansion foam collector: Made of stainless steel
- Liquid analyzer: Made of brass; used to calibrate volume of foam receiving tank to 1 mL with water
- Accessories include air compressor, thermometer, graduated cylinder, balance, and stopwatch
a) Prepare foam solution using fresh water according to required concentration. Control temperature to ensure produced foam temperature is within (15-20)℃.
b) Start air compressor and adjust inlet pressure of foam gun to (0.7±0.03) MPa. Wet inner wall of foam receiving tank, wipe clean, and weigh (m1).
c) After spraying for (5-10) seconds until stabilization, collect foam using eluent analyzer. Start stopwatch, scrape off overflowing foam, weigh (m2), and calculate mass of 25% eluent.
d) Remove receiving container from precipitation analyzer and place on balance. Place foam receiving container on support, ensuring precipitate is free of foam. Stop stopwatch when precipitated liquid reaches 25% of volume.
e) Calculate foaming ratio using specified formula.
