IEC 60112 Tracking Index Tester for CTI PTI Testing
The intelligent tracking resistance tester, developed by GOLD, is an advanced testing device for determining the PTI (Positive Tracking Index) and CTI (Comparative Tracking Index) of solid insulating materials. This apparatus applies alternating voltage between standard platinum electrodes while dripping ammonium chloride-contaminated electrolyte at specified intervals and heights, simulating tracking and breakdown phenomena on insulation surfaces under combined electric field and contaminated medium conditions.
The system features intelligent PLC and touchscreen control, ensuring precise management of electrode pressure, dripping sequence, and voltage parameters. This results in excellent test repeatability, making it ideal for electrical insulation material manufacturers, electrical component producers, plastic housing manufacturers, third-party electrical testing institutions, and research laboratory applications.
This tester is applicable to various solid insulating boards, electrical components, and disc-shaped insulating substrates used under alternating voltage conditions. Through standard platinum electrode and quantitative contaminated liquid drop testing, it quantitatively evaluates insulation surface resistance to leakage tracking in electric field and contaminated medium coupling environments, determining both CTI tracking index and PTI tracking resistance index.
