Centrifuge Tubes is an internationally standardized test sedimentation tube, primarily used to measure the concentration of magnetic powder in a magnetic suspension. It can also be used for metering magnetic suspension preparation and for comparing the particle size of various magnetic powders.

In magnetic particle testing, an imbalanced magnetic suspension concentration will prevent accurate testing. If the concentration is too low, it cannot detect fine defects; if the concentration is too high, the magnetic powder will accumulate excessively at the defect site, making identification difficult. During magnetic particle testing, the magnetic powder is gradually consumed with each test. To adjust the magnetic suspension concentration, magnetic powder needs to be replenished gradually. The magnetic suspension sedimentation test tube is an indispensable measuring tool in routine magnetic particle testing.

Usage:
  1. To perform accurate magnetic particle testing, the concentration of the magnetic suspension needs to be tested regularly.
  2. Run the motor on the magnetic particle testing machine for a few minutes to thoroughly stir the suspension and ensure a uniform concentration.
  3. Allow the magnetic suspension to flow from the rubber tube and nozzle for several minutes to ensure a uniform concentration of magnetic powder within the tube and nozzle.
  4. Place 100cc of magnetic suspension into the magnetic suspension sedimentation tube and let it stand for 30 minutes, or until it has completely settled.
  5. After the magnetic powder has completely settled, read the amount of magnetic powder deposited at the bottom of the sedimentation tube to check if the magnetic suspension is at the specified concentration.
  6. Non-fluorescent magnetic powder: 1.0~2.4cc; Fluorescent magnetic powder: 0.1~0.5cc (Note: Be aware of dust and foreign matter mixed in with the magnetic suspension).
  7. If the concentration is below the specified levels, add magnetic powder. After a certain period, use a Type A standard test piece developed by Luodong Nondestructive Testing Equipment Factory to test whether sufficient defect indication traces can be obtained and whether the test tube can be passed. If the magnetic suspension is confirmed to be unsuitable, drain and rinse the used magnetic suspension and replace it.
  8. If preparing a new magnetic suspension, prepare it according to the proportions in points 3 and 4 as needed.
