Our manufacturing process begins with high-quality, fine-grained steel produced to special specifications. Each block undergoes comprehensive processing including heat treatment, flaw detection, material attenuation checks, velocity measurements (longitudinal and transverse wave), precision machining, surface finish preparation, block identification, in-house nickel-plating, and thorough documentation.
Each PAUT IIW Calibration Block ships with complete documentation:
- PH Tool NIST-traceable Certification Report confirming conformance to ISO 19675
- Material Test Report for raw material traceability
- PMI Test Report with chemical analysis via XRF testing
- Dimensional Report with measured physical dimensions and hole diameters
- Material attenuation results per specification paragraph 5.2.3
- Velocity measurements in accordance with Annex A specifications
The PAUT IIW Block, manufactured in accordance with ISO 19675, was developed by an international committee of NDT experts to create a globally accepted, standardized block for Phased Array Ultrasonic calibrations. This specification addresses the previous absence of international standards for PAUT system calibration blocks.
