Measurement Principle
The sensor operates on the principle that dissolved salts in water exist as ions that migrate under an applied electric field. This ionic movement enables electrical conduction, with conductivity serving as the reciprocal of resistivity and a critical indicator of water quality.
Conductivity measurement reveals the concentration of electrolytes in solution, with lower conductivity values indicating purer water. The sensor provides specific conductance measurements standardized at 25°C for accurate comparisons.
