Pre-Measurement Preparation
1. Remove the protective cap from the electrode tip.
2. Shake the electrode downward to remove internal air bubbles.
3. For new or long-unused electrodes, activate by soaking in 1 ppm standard solution for at least 24 hours.
4. After activation, rinse with deionized water and gently blot dry. Before testing, immerse the electrode tip in deionized water for 5 minutes with stirring.
Avoid touching the sensitive area with fingers. Replace water multiple times during rinsing to prevent measurement errors.
Calibration Procedure
1. Connect the electrode to the meter and pour 100 mL of deionized water into a 150 mL beaker.
2. Set the meter to mV mode and immerse the electrode in deionized water.
3. Add 1 mL of 1000 ppm standard solution, stir thoroughly, and record stable reading (E₁).
4. Add 10 mL of the same standard solution, stir thoroughly, and record stable reading (E₂).
5. Calculate slope at 25°C as E₂ - E₁ and compare with specifications.
Troubleshooting & Storage

Troubleshooting: If slope deviates from specified range, prepare freshly diluted standard solution, soak electrode for 10 minutes, and repeat calibration. Contact technical support if issues persist.

Short-term Storage: Preserve in deionized water or low-concentration standard solution (1 ppm).

Long-term Storage: Rinse with deionized water, wipe membrane, dry thoroughly, and store in original packaging.
