Product Description
Product Overview
This electrochemical calcium ion sensor utilizes membrane potential technology to precisely measure ion activity and concentration in drinking water solutions. The sensor generates a membrane potential directly proportional to calcium ion activity when contacting the target solution, serving as a reliable indicator electrode for potentiometric measurement applications.
Key Features
- Digital sensor with RS-485 output supporting MODBUS protocol
- Reagent-free operation eliminates pollution and reduces operational costs
- Ion-selective method ensures faster response times and stable signal output
- PP electrode housing withstands temperatures from 0°C to 50°C
- High-quality four-core shielded cable for accurate signal transmission

Installation & Operation
Pre-Measurement Preparation
- Remove protective cap from electrode tip, avoiding contact with sensitive area
- Shake electrode downward to eliminate internal air bubbles
- Activate new or long-unused electrodes by soaking in 1 ppm standard solution for minimum 24 hours
- After activation, rinse with deionized water and gently blot dry
- Before testing, immerse electrode tip in deionized water for 5 minutes with stirring
Calibration Procedure
- Connect electrode to meter and set to mV mode
- Prepare 100 mL deionized water in 150 mL beaker with thorough stirring
- Add 1 mL of 1000 ppm standard solution, record stable reading (E₁)
- Add 10 mL of same standard solution, record stable reading (E₂)
- Calculate slope at 25°C as E₂ - E₁ to validate electrode performance
Maintenance & Storage
Troubleshooting
If slope deviates from specified range, prepare freshly diluted standard solution and soak electrode for 10 minutes before retesting. Contact technical support if issues persist.
Storage Guidelines
- Short-term: Preserve in deionized water or 1 ppm standard solution
- Long-term: Rinse with deionized water, wipe membrane, dry thoroughly, and store in original packaging
- Reactivation requires 2+ hours in 1 mg/L standard solution before reuse
