Instroduction
The Wyzenbeek tester is a vibration wear testing machine with four stations, used to determine the wear resistance of fabrics, vinyl, leather, sewing seams, and other materials. Each station is equipped with a sample, and pressure is applied using a corrugated foam pad. At the same time, a grinding material (usually duck cloth or metal mesh screen) is fixed to the swinging drum and grinds the sample for a predetermined number of cycles. Each station has its own setting for sample tension and pressure pad. The provision of the other three stations enables the operator to run 1-4 samples.

Scope of Application
The Oscillatory Wear Tester, also known as the Wyzenbeek Wear Tester, measures the wear resistance of fabrics when they are subjected to frictional movement against a standard friction medium or a metal mesh. It is particularly suitable for testing the wear resistance of textile items used in automotive decoration and furniture. The instrument complies with American standards and has 4 friction heads and an electronic counter to control the running cycle.
Principle of the Experiment
The long strip-shaped fabric sample is installed on the front and rear fixtures of the friction head, and a certain tension force is applied. On the circular friction platform, the friction medium is installed to make the sample come into contact with the friction medium, and a certain load is applied to the sample. The friction platform swings back and forth to perform friction on the sample. After a certain number of friction operations, the change in the fracture strength of the sample is evaluated.
