Introduction

The determination of the tear resistance strength for various woven fabrics (using the Elmendorf method) is carried out to test the impact tear strength of textiles, woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics, and coated fabrics. It can also be used for the burst strength tests of silk, cotton fabrics, various papers, cardboard, and single-layer and multi-layer corrugated cardboard.
