Introduction

The LR-E309 Angle of Repose Tester is a device developed and produced by our company. It determines the flowability of powder by measuring the angle of repose. The design of the instrument complies with the national standard GB/T 21060-2007 and the international standard ISO 4324. The instrument is equipped with an electronic digital display measuring ruler, which can be connected to a computer. The measurement data can be uploaded to the software on the computer. The software can calculate the angle of repose of the powder pile and provide the flowability index and evaluation based on the test results, eliminating the errors caused by manual measurement and calculation. Additionally, it is equipped with a stirring rod to assist the flow of powders with poor flowability, enabling even those with poor flowability to be tested.

Test Instructions

When powder is poured onto a flat surface in a natural environment, it forms a conical pile. The angle at the base of this cone is commonly referred to as the angle of repose or the angle of rest. The height of the cone and the size of the base angle are highly related to the shape, size, adhesiveness, electrostatics, density, etc. of the powder particles. Therefore, accurately measuring the height of the powder cone and calculating the angle of repose is of great significance. It determines important physical property information of the powder sample.
