Overview  

LR-MD500A Density Meter For Petroleum Products is manufactured by standards of ISO3675:1998, used for density measurement on crude oil and petroleum products in liquid state or other compound at 20℃ (if independent refrigerator for temperature control is not applied, apparent density of samples can be measured at other temperatures, then converted into standard density at 20℃ as per the petroleum gauges). The meter shows contents with a color LCD of large screen, with visualized and convenient man-machine interaction. The screen has built-in operation instructions which make operation much easier. PID temperature control technology is used for high efficiency; timekeeping function for constant temperature is utilized; alerting alert helps operators for the next procedure during testing. The meter has average calculation function which can obtain the average of two consecutive measurements, make records and print the results. The meter also has functions of data record and query which can search the former 1000 data records for comparative analysis.

Working Principle

Required temperature is needed for the samples. The samples are poured into the density-metering cylinder that has similar temperature to that of the liquid. A proper densimeter then is put into the samples in a static state. When the temperature reaches balance, readings on the densimeter and the sample temperature are obtained. The readings then are converted into standard density as per petroleum gauges. Glass-petroleum densimeter is applied for the device to measure density of the crude oil and petroleum products in liquid state and non-petroleum compounds.
