The aggregate soundness testing apparatus complies with the JTG 3432-2024 standard. It is used to determine the soundness (or stability) of crushed stone or gravel by subjecting the material to repeated cycles of immersion in a saturated sodium sulfate solution and subsequent drying, thereby testing its ability to withstand the crystallization pressure of sodium sulfate without significant damage or loss of strength.
