Product Overview
Cathodic Disbondment Tester is high-precision testing equipment independently developed by LONROY. It is designed for evaluating the cathodic disbondment resistance of pipeline anti-corrosion coatings such as 3LPE, 3LPP, FBE coatings.
The instrument adopts three-channel independent power supply architecture, which allows three parallel test groups to run at the same time and greatly improves laboratory test throughput. It integrates a high-precision temperature control system with temperature control accuracy up to ±0.5°C. The inner tank is made of 304 stainless steel for excellent corrosion resistance against sodium chloride electrolyte solution.
This tester is widely used in research institutes, universities, coating manufacturers and pipeline inspection laboratories where high test repeatability and precision are required. It simulates the service condition of buried pipelines under cathodic protection, to assess whether the coating will delaminate from steel substrate.
Working Principle
The tester applies constant cathodic protection potential to the coated steel specimens immersed in NaCl electrolyte inside the temperature-controlled tank. Under preset temperature and polarization potential, the test runs for a specified duration. After the test cycle finishes, operators measure the disbonded radius of coating around the artificial defect, so as to judge the anti-cathodic-disbondment performance of the coating material.
