1.8 Mm To 4.7 Mm Thickness 3lpe Coated Pipe Anticorrosive Steel Underground Water Pipe Water Line Pipe
Pipes typically used in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, textiles, power generation etc have a tremendous amount of stress exerted on them. Often these stresses are reasons for pipes becoming susceptible to cracking and finally failure. The use of 3LPE Coated Pipes is predominant in environments that have applications that are either submerged or buried. Hence, one method of providing improved resistance to corrosion is by coating it with 3LPE.
3-Layer Polyethylene Coating or as referred to by its short-form, 3LPE consists of a multilayer setting, wherein the pipes consist of three layers. Layer one consists of a high-performance Fusion Bonded Epoxy or shortened as FBE primer. The layer of primer is followed by another copolymer layer, which acts as an adhesive. And lastly, the final outermost layer consists of polyethylene. The outermost polyethylene layer is what provides the 3LPE Coating Pipe with tough and durable protection.
Thickness of 3LPE Coating on Steel Pipes
- minimum 125 µm Epoxy layer thickness
- minimum 150 µm copolymer layer thickness
- minimum thickness of 1.8 mm to 4.7 mm polyethylene or polypropylene layer
