High carbon silicon, also known as high carbon ferrosilicon or HCFeSi, is an alloy composed of silicon and carbon with a high carbon content. It is primarily used as a deoxidizing agent in the production of steel and cast iron. The carbon content in high carbon silicon can range from 4% to 9%, making it a valuable additive in steelmaking processes.

High silicon carbon improves molten steel quality, enhances product quality, reduces required alloy amounts, lowers steelmaking costs, and increases economic benefits.
