Si-C alloy is a new type of alloy used in converters, commonly called silicon carbon alloy or high carbon silicon. It effectively replaces ferrosilicon, silicon carbide, and recarburizer while reducing deoxidizer requirements. This alloy provides stable performance in converter smelting deoxidization alloying processes, resulting in superior chemical composition, mechanical properties, and internal control quality compared to traditional methods.
