Brake lines, also known as brake hoses, are a core component of a car's braking system and can be considered a "lifeline" for driving safety. Their primary function is to transmit brake fluid, converting the force applied by the driver to the brake pedal into hydraulic pressure, which then drives the brake calipers and other components to achieve vehicle braking.

Tube Body Failure:

• Aging Cracking / Hardening: This is the most common fault in rubber hoses. Due to long-term chemical erosion by brake fluid, high-temperature baking, ultraviolet radiation, and wear from undercarriage mud and sand, the hose loses elasticity, becomes hard and brittle, develops a network of cracks or local damage on the surface, and may directly leak brake fluid in severe cases.
• Bulging Expansion: After the inner rubber layer of the hose is damaged, brake fluid pressure will push up the outer layer and reinforcement layer, forming a bulge. When braking, the bulge expands with increasing pressure, causing the brake pedal to feel soft and braking delay. Once the bulge ruptures, it directly leads to brake failure.
• Metal Tube Rust Corrosion and Perforation: Metal rigid tubes are mostly made of galvanized steel. If the undercarriage rust-proof layer is damaged, long-term contact with rainwater, de-icing agents, and mud and sand will gradually corrode and thin the tube wall, eventually leading to perforation and brake fluid leakage.
• Wear and Damage: If the fixing clips of flexible hoses fall off or shift, they will rub against the wheel suspension, tires, and sharp edges of the undercarriage, causing the outer layer to wear through and the reinforcement layer to break, ultimately resulting in leakage.
