The automotive oxygen sensor (O₂ Sensor) serves as the core feedback component for engine emissions and closed-loop fuel control. Positioned within the exhaust manifold (either upstream or downstream of the three-way catalytic converter), it monitors exhaust oxygen levels and outputs electrical signals. These signals enable the ECU to precisely regulate the air-fuel ratio, ensuring optimal power delivery, fuel efficiency, and compliance with emissions standards.
