The automotive electronic fan clutch, also known as the fan clutch, serves as the core speed-regulating component within the engine cooling system. It is installed between the engine water pump shaft and the radiator fan (in mechanical fan systems) or between the electronic fan motor and the fan blades (in electronically controlled fan systems). Its primary function is to intelligently regulate fan speed based on engine operating temperature, enabling demand-driven cooling. It offers the advantages of precise temperature control, energy efficiency, and noise reduction, serving as an upgraded replacement for traditional rigidly connected fans.
