Product Overview
The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) System is a high-efficiency water treatment solution designed for removing oils, greases, and suspended solids from industrial wastewater. This equipment operates by dissolving air into water under pressure and releasing it to form micro-bubbles that attach to contaminants, floating them to the surface for removal.
Working Principle
The DAF system utilizes air flotation separation technology where air is dissolved into water under pressure, creating a supersaturated solution. When released at atmospheric pressure in the flotation tank, the dissolved air forms millions of microscopic bubbles that adhere to oil droplets and suspended particles. These bubble-particle aggregates rise to the surface, forming a scum layer that is mechanically removed by scraping equipment.
Heavier particles settle through the inclined plate settling zone and collect at the bottom of the sediment device. Settled sludge is discharged to the sludge tank for further processing, while clarified purified water exits through the equipment's center tube.
