The mechanical grille decontamination machine, also known as circulating tooth rake grille decontamination or solid-liquid batch machine, is a primary water filtration system that continuously and automatically intercepts and removes various shapes of debris from fluid streams. This specialized treatment equipment is suitable for urban sewage treatment, tap water production, irrigation systems, and serves as front-end processing equipment in wastewater treatment processes for textile, food processing, paper, leather, and various industrial applications.
Working Principle
This unit operates on a rotary principle with multiple plow-shaped rakes installed on the shaft, forming continuous rake chains. The bar screen features adjustable spaces or gaps based on water flow volume requirements, typically installed at the front of pump stations or water treatment systems. As the drive mechanism moves the rake chains from bottom to top, debris is efficiently extracted while liquid flows through the screen gaps. When the unit rotates to the top position, the rake chains reverse direction, moving from top to bottom, allowing captured materials to fall off. The system then continues its continuous operation cycle.
