A shaped filter bag contains the solids, and upon completion, the entire bag is lifted out, preserving the cake's form. No blade contact ensures minimal fines and reduced loss for delicate crystals and high-value intermediates.

The filter bag seats within the perforated drum. After feed introduction and drum spin-up, liquid passes through the cake and bag while solids accumulate inside the bag. Continuous bag support prevents cake disturbance. Following washing and dewatering, the drive stops, the loaded bag is hoisted out, and a fresh bag is positioned for the next batch.
