Strong Flexibility Split Tray Sorter Suitable For Sorting A Variety Of Small And Medium-sized Items
The Split Tray Sorter (RKSORT-STS), also known as the Bombay Sorter, is a professional sorting solution developed by RKSORT to assist customers in achieving efficient sorting of small to medium-sized items, especially flat items.
The Split Tray Sorter typically adopts an elliptical horizontal ring layout with single or double-row tray arrangements. The items to be sorted are placed in the trays and travel along the track on the circular line. When they reach the designated position, the two halves of the tray open like movable doors, allowing the products to drop vertically into the chute below or into material boxes, thus completing the sorting action.
Due to the ability to simultaneously place items on double-row trays, the Split Tray Sorter operates at extremely high speeds, making it an exceptionally efficient sorting device capable of processing up to 21,600 trays per hour. It is particularly suitable for sorting clothing, express letters, printed materials, and other flat or non-fragile items, even irregularly shaped items can be easily sorted.

- Strong Applicability: The Split Tray Sorter employs trays to carry items, making it highly adaptable for sorting lightweight, floating, or circular items that are not suitable for sorting by Cross Belt Sorters.
- Low-Speed High-Efficiency Sorting: The sorting efficiency of the double-row Split Tray Sorter with its unique "one cart, two trays" structure is twice that of a Cross Belt Sorter with the same configuration.
- High Sorting Accuracy: Equipped with advanced algorithmic intelligent cameras, achieving a reading rate of up to 99%.
- High Flexibility: The elimination of chain drive and wheel turning in the transmission system allows distributed small-power motor drives to be deployed at any node.
- Small Footprint: The compact overall structure design maximizes the use of space.
- Low Energy Consumption: Distributed low-power motor drives save energy with simple structure and low maintenance.
- Modular Design: The entire machine adopts standardized, modular design, supporting rapid assembly, disassembly, expansion, and relocation.
Split tray sorters are ideal for environments requiring high-speed automated sorting of small and medium-sized items. They are commonly used in sectors such as footwear, books, e-commerce, postal services, daily essentials, pharmaceuticals, and jewelry.
These sorters excel in distribution centers that directly serve consumers, facilitating batch picking and sorting for discrete orders, including e-commerce shipments, retail clothing, omnichannel logistics, store replenishment, and returns processing.
- V-shaped Tray Design: Accommodates items that are easily rollable, whether they are lightweight or irregularly shaped.
- Heavy-duty Tray Option: Engineered for rigorous postal and courier environments, capable of supporting heavy loads up to 15 kilograms per tray.
- Merging Tray Technology: Patented double-row tray design enables two groups of trays to sort different items to separate destinations.
- Flat Stacking Technology: Products drop directly into boxes or bags, typically eliminating the need for additional stacking labor.
- Safety Design: Enables high sorting throughput at lower speeds with minimal gaps between trays.
- Reliability: With 17 years of expertise in logistics and automated sorting, our products are celebrated for their durability and reliability.
