ST-13A Automatic Potentiometric Titrator
The ST-13A automatic potentiometric titrator is designed according to GB5009.229-2016 "Determination of Acid Value in Foods" (cold solvent automatic potentiometric titration method) and GB5009.227-2023 "Determination of Peroxide Value in Foods" standards. This instrument uses potentiometric titration to automatically distinguish the titration endpoint and calculate results, making it suitable for determining acid values in various food samples including edible oils.

Acid Value Determination Reagents
Reagents:
- Isopropanol (C₃H₈O)
- Butanol (C₄H₁₀O)
- Anhydrous Butanol (C₄H₁₀O)
- Light petroleum (boiling range 30℃-60℃)
Reagent Preparation:
- Potassium hydroxide standard titration aqueous solution (0.1mol/L) prepared and calibrated per GB/T601 standards
- Butanol-isopropanol mixture: 1500ml butanol + 500ml isopropanol, thoroughly mixed and prepared on site when needed
Peroxide Value Determination Reagents
Reagents:
- Ice acetic acid (CH₃COOH)
- Isooctane (C₈H₁₈)
- Potassium iodide (KI)
- Sodium thiosulfate (Na₂S₂O₃•5H₂O)
- Potassium dichromate: working standard reagent (K₂Cr₂O₇)
Reagent Preparation:
- Isooctane glacial acetic acid mixture (40+60): 40mL isooctane + 60mL glacial acetic acid
- Potassium iodide saturated solution: 20g potassium iodide + 10mL freshly boiled and cooled water, stored in brown bottle in dark place
- 0.1 mol/L Sodium Thiosulfate Standard Solution
- 0.01 mol/L sodium thiosulfate standard solution (prepared before use)
