Product Overview

The SH101C automatic mechanical impurity content analyzer (with balance) is designed according to the requirements of the national standard GB/T511 "Determination of Mechanical Impurities in Petroleum Products and Additives (Weight Method)". It is suitable for determining the content of mechanical impurities in various light and heavy oils, lubricants, and additives in petroleum products.

Method Summary

Weigh a certain amount of sample and dissolve it in the solvent used. Filter it through a constant weight filter paper or microporous glass filter. Impurities left on the filter paper or microporous glass filter are called mechanical impurities.

Operation Method
  1. Add mixed sample to beaker and weigh, then dilute with heated solvent according to GB/T 511-2010 Table 1 requirements
  2. Place constant weight filter paper in glass funnel and filter hot sample solution
  3. Wash residue with hot solvent oil and transfer to filter paper
  4. For samples with high water content, let stand for 10-20 minutes before filtration
  5. Use vacuum suction filtration for difficult-to-filter samples with funnel heating bath
  6. Clean filter paper with solvent oil until no sample traces remain
  7. For additives and lubricants, rinse with hot distilled water after solvent cleaning
  8. Dry filter paper with sediment in weighing bottle at 105℃±2℃ for ≥45 minutes
  9. Cool in dryer for 30 minutes and weigh accurately to 0.0002g
  10. Repeat drying and weighing until consecutive weight difference ≤0.0004g

All solvent preheating can be done using beaker heating bath cover (RT to 85℃). Weighing operations are automatically performed using the connected electronic balance. Click 'Calculate' after each weighing for automatic result calculation and storage.
