Product Overview

The Dynisco TPT463E-5M-6/18 is a combined melt-pressure and melt-temperature measuring device for polymer extrusion and plastics-processing equipment. It provides an industry-standard 3.33 mV/V pressure signal together with a removable Type J thermocouple, allowing pressure and temperature to be measured at one process location.

The 5M range corresponds to a nominal pressure range of 0 to 5,000 psi. The 6/18 configuration identifies a rigid sensing stem combined with an approximately 18-inch flexible capillary section. This construction helps isolate the electrical housing from high process temperature and provides installation flexibility around extruder barrels and melt lines.

Measurement Configuration

The pressure channel uses a strain-gauge bridge output intended for a compatible pressure indicator or controller. The temperature channel is electrically separate and must be connected to an input configured for a Type J thermocouple. The pressure excitation, thermocouple wiring and connector pin assignment must be checked before commissioning.
