Low-Range Measurement Considerations

The B01C code specifies a 0–100 bar pressure span, associated with the nominal 1500 psi class. This range can provide better usable resolution on lower-pressure extrusion processes, but the selected span must accommodate startup pressure, cold-material conditions and process transients. It is not suitable merely because the normal running pressure is below 100 bar; validated peak pressure must also be considered.

Why Stem Code 5 Must Be Verified

The extended rigid section changes the sensor’s mechanical reach and the position of the flexible transition. Before replacement, compare the installed insertion geometry, heater arrangement, available clearance and routing path. A shorter code-4 stem may physically fit the same thread but place the flexible section and electronics in a different thermal environment.

Commissioning Notes

Scale the current input from 0 to 100 bar. Connect the thermocouple to a Type J-compatible channel with correct polarity and cold-junction compensation. Keep the thermocouple circuit separate from the powered 4–20 mA loop. Confirm the six-pin diagram because connector appearance alone does not establish identical wiring.
