B&R 0AC808.9-1 8-Port 10/100 Mbit/s Industrial Ethernet Hub
Product Overview
The B&R 0AC808.9-1 is an eight-port industrial Ethernet hub designed for control cabinet network infrastructure. It provides eight shielded RJ45 connections for 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX Ethernet devices and supports automatic speed negotiation and automatic MDI/MDIX connection handling.
This product is an industrial network infrastructure component rather than a PLC I/O module. It is suitable for connecting controllers, operator interfaces and other compatible Ethernet devices where the original system requires hub-based network behavior.
Main Features
- Eight shielded RJ45 Ethernet ports
- 10BASE-T and 100BASE-TX network support
- 10/100 Mbit/s automatic speed negotiation
- Automatic MDI/MDIX port configuration
- Layer 2 industrial Ethernet hub architecture
- Maximum Ethernet segment length of 100 m
- Electrical isolation between ports, supply and ground
- Top-hat rail installation with mounting adapter

Maintenance and Replacement Notes
The 0AC808.9-1 is a hub and does not provide the same network behavior as a managed or unmanaged Ethernet switch. Confirm that the original application requires half-duplex hub operation before substituting a different network device.
Check the 18 to 30 VDC power supply, RJ45 cabling, mounting orientation and required TB704 terminal block. Network performance also depends on segment length, connected devices and the communication settings of the controllers.
Related Models
When considering an alternative infrastructure component, verify the number of ports, supported Ethernet standards, duplex behavior, supply voltage, mounting dimensions and network topology. A conventional Ethernet switch is not automatically an exact functional replacement for this hub.
Inquiry and Supply Notes
For a compatibility review, provide the complete product label, cabinet network diagram, connected device list, power supply information and photographs of the existing wiring.
