IAI SCON-CB-100WAI-NP-3-2 is a single-axis servo actuator controller designed for use with a matching IAI electric actuator. The controller manages programmed positioning, actuator movement, acceleration and deceleration settings, position-complete signals, operating status and alarm monitoring within an industrial automation system.

This configuration uses NP NPN sink-type parallel I/O. It is suitable for machines where a PLC selects stored positions, issues start commands and receives operating or completion signals through discrete wiring. The complete controller model and connected actuator configuration must be verified before installation.

Compatible Systems and Applications

The SCON-CB-100WAI-NP-3-2 can be used in automated assembly stations, component-transfer mechanisms, inspection systems, packaging machinery, production fixtures and material-handling equipment. A compatible PLC can select stored positions and coordinate actuator movement with the wider machine sequence through NPN parallel I/O.

The controller should be paired only with the actuator configuration identified on the controller and actuator nameplates. Similar SCON-CB controllers may have different motor capacities, encoder specifications, communication interfaces or internal options.

Maintenance and Replacement Notes

Back up the position table, acceleration settings, speed settings and controller parameters before removing the existing unit whenever communication remains available. Photograph the terminal connections and record the PLC input and output assignments before disconnecting the wiring.

Confirm that the machine uses NPN sink-type signals. An NP controller should not be replaced with a PN, CC-Link, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT or other network version without reviewing the PLC wiring and control program. The complete 100WAI-NP-3-2 suffix must be checked rather than selecting by the SCON-CB series name alone.
