Agricultural MGO Magnesium Oxide Chemical White Powder For Desulfuration
Light magnesium oxide (MgO Light) is a white powdery inorganic compound with the chemical formula MgO. Known for its low density, high purity, and large surface area, it is produced by high-temperature calcination of magnesite or precipitation from brine. It has a wide range of uses and is an indispensable material in the industrial and food sectors.

- Refractory Materials: Important raw material for refractory bricks, electric furnace linings, and metallurgical furnace linings due to high melting point (>2800°C). Used in steel smelting, non-ferrous metal smelting, glass, and cement kilns.
- Building Materials: Forms "magnesium oxychloride cement" for fireproof panels, partition boards, ceilings, and floor tiles. Offers lightweight, fireproof, and moisture-resistant properties.
- Chemical Raw Materials: Used to prepare magnesium salt compounds, as filler in rubber/plastics, and as catalyst/adsorbent/desiccant.
- Environmental Protection: Neutralizer for acidic wastewater, flue gas desulfurization, and treatment of heavy metal ions or organic pollutants.
- Agriculture: Magnesium fertilizer that promotes crop photosynthesis and improves soil acidity.
- Pharmaceutical and Food: Used as antacid, laxative, nutritional supplement, decolorizer, and pH adjuster.
- Electrical and Electronics: Excellent insulating properties for cable fillers and heating element insulation.
- Other Applications: Used in papermaking, sugar refining, glass, coatings, and aerospace materials.
Active magnesium oxide is obtained by calcining dolomite or magnesite, digesting with water, carbonating, calcining and crushing. The brine dolomite lime method uses seawater or brine as raw materials to react with lime or dolomite to produce magnesium hydroxide precipitate, which is then filtered, dried and calcined.
Uses fused magnesium block as raw material. After material selection, crushing and screening, it is mixed with liquid titanium dioxide, then washed, dried and sintered to produce high-temperature electrical grade magnesium oxide.
Brine reacts with ammonium bicarbonate to generate basic magnesium carbonate, which is then aged, washed, dehydrated, dried and calcined to obtain silicon steel grade magnesium oxide.
High-purity magnesium oxide is used as raw material and processed through electrofusion.
Waste material reacts with hydrochloric acid to generate magnesium chloride hexahydrate, then reacts with sodium carbonate to produce basic magnesium carbonate, which is washed, calcined and crushed to obtain magnetic magnesium oxide.
Magnesium Oxide exhibits strong affinity for moisture and carbon dioxide, forming magnesium hydroxide or magnesium carbonate upon reaction. This makes it effective for applications requiring reactivity and absorption capabilities. Its thermal stability and basic nature allow it to function as a refractory and neutralizing agent.
