Measurement Principle
When measuring surface roughness, the sensor is placed on the surface and uniformly slides along it via the internal driving mechanism. The sharp built-in probe detects surface roughness, causing probe displacement that changes the inductive amount of induction coils. This generates an analog signal proportional to the surface roughness at the output end of the phase-sensitive rectifier. The exclusive DSP processes and calculates the data, then displays the measurement results on the LCD.
