Product Overview
The 57CME23 is a Nema23-size 2-phase hybrid closed-loop stepper motor equipped with EtherCAT communication bus, manufactured in Shenzhen, China. Combining closed-loop servo control technology with the high-torque characteristics of stepper motors, it is suitable for industrial automation bus control systems as a high-precision and highly stable motion control option. Featuring a standard 57 frame with a 56mm flange and 76mm motor length, it is fully compatible with most mounting positions of Nema23 motors for convenient equipment replacement and modification.
Core Performance Parameters
1. Basic Stepping Specification: 1.8° step angle, inheriting the advantage of precise positioning of stepper motors; the closed-loop structure fundamentally eliminates step loss and out-of-step failures.
2. Torque and Rotational Speed: 2.3Nm holding torque with a maximum speed up to 1000RPM. It delivers strong low-speed torque and stable medium-to-high speed operation, fitting working conditions such as conveying, cutting, precision positioning and engraving.
3. Electrical Adaptability: Wide voltage input range of 20V~80V, optional 4A/5A current specifications. The current can be flexibly adjusted according to load conditions to balance power output and motor heat generation.

Structure and Wiring Design
- It adopts an 8mm diameter D-cut shaft with an optional shaft length of 21~22mm. A 30cm standard cable with DB connector is factory-equipped, eliminating secondary wiring work for users and simplifying equipment wiring and assembly.
- Standard Nema23 (57 flange) mounting dimension with a 76mm motor body and universal mounting holes. It can directly replace conventional open-loop 57 stepper motors without modifying the equipment installation structure.
Communication and Control Advantages
It adopts an integrated solution of EtherCAT bus + closed-loop feedback control:
1. The EtherCAT industrial Ethernet bus features fast communication speed and excellent multi-axis synchronization performance, supporting networking and linkage of multiple motors. 2. Real-time closed-loop position feedback automatically compensates for position deviation during operation, completely overcoming the drawbacks of step loss at high speeds and heavy loads of open-loop stepper motors, and greatly improving repetitive positioning accuracy. It also reduces high-speed operating noise and temperature rise of the motor body for enhanced stability during long continuous operation.

The 57CME23 is an EtherCAT bus closed-loop stepper motor with integrated encoder, which can only be matched with EtherCAT bus closed-loop stepper drivers of the same protocol and is incompatible with traditional pulse-type open-loop stepper drivers:
1. Perfect Matching Driver: EtherCAT bus closed-loop stepper driver from the same series, supporting 20~80V DC power supply with output current covering 4~5A. It perfectly matches the rated current and torque characteristics of this motor, with pre-adapted bus protocol for ready communication after wiring without complicated parameter configuration.
2. General Selection Requirements for Drivers: The selected driver must meet three key requirements:
- Communication Protocol: Support EtherCAT bus communication
- Power Supply Range: DC input of 20V~80V to match the motor voltage specification
- Output Current: Maximum output current ≥5A to be compatible with both 4A and 5A operating modes of the motor, and support reading closed-loop position feedback signals
