Adjustable Swirly Bokeh Filter 49mm - 82mm Optical Filters With Aluminum Alloy Frame
This Swirl Bokeh Effect Rotating Filter operates as a specialized bokeh filter that forcibly distorts out-of-focus light spots. For optimal performance, it requires a large-aperture prime lens or telephoto lens to achieve the desired effect.
Based on practical testing, we recommend using this filter with large-aperture prime lenses at 24mm or longer focal lengths, or with telephoto lenses. It is not recommended for wide-angle zoom lenses as it will not produce noticeable effects.
- If you haven't taken focus stacking photos before, practice with a tree first using the general setup shown below
- If results aren't satisfactory, switch the lens to MF mode and adjust to a closer focusing distance. Initially focus on the background rather than the subject until the background shows distinct bokeh, then bring the subject into focus
- Avoid using clean backgrounds like clear skies or white walls for bokeh effects—the more cluttered the background, the better
- If your lens produces overly soft out-of-focus areas, the bokeh effect may be diminished. Lenses with strong secondary bokeh blur are better suited for creating swirl bokeh effects. Enhance "Texture" and "Clarity" settings in image editing software for better results
