Aluminum 5754, commonly designated as "AlMg3", is an aluminum alloy with magnesium as the primary alloying element, supplemented with small chromium and/or manganese additions. This alloy offers excellent formability in the fully soft, annealed temper and can be work-hardened to achieve very high strength levels. It provides slightly greater strength than 5052 alloy while maintaining good ductility.
5754 aluminum alloy features excellent weldability and improved workability, making it suitable for applications in marine, oil & gas, chemical, and nuclear industries.
This higher strength material offers better workability than 5251 alloy and provides exceptional resistance to both seawater and industrial chemical corrosion.
