- Fastening Threads (Basic Type) : Triangular thread profile, mainly including Metric (M), Whitworth (W), and Unified National (UNC/UNF) standards. Thread angle 55°/60°, pitch diameter tolerance IT8-IT10, pitch accuracy ±0.02mm. Compatible with turning, tapping, and rolling processes, with wide material adaptability.
- Transmission Threads (High-Precision Type) : Core types include Trapezoidal (Tr), Buttress (B), and Ball Screw threads. Ball screws feature transmission efficiency ≥90% and positioning accuracy ±0.001mm. Thread angle deviation must be ≤±0.5°, relying on precision turning and grinding processes, suitable for high-strength alloy steels.
- Sealing Threads (Leak-Proof Type) : 1:16 taper design, with BSPP/BSPT (R/Rc) and NPTF as mainstream standards. Taper tolerance ≤±0.005mm/m, sealing surface roughness Ra≤1.6μm. Requires special sealing materials; high-pressure scenarios need pressure testing ≥30MPa with no leakage.
- Special Threads (Customized Type) : Including aerospace MJ threads and square threads. Require customized tools and fixtures, dependent on precision testing equipment.

- Surface treatment: Galvanizing (8-12μm) / nitriding (0.1-0.3mm) for corrosive environments; Teflon coating for high-temperature scenarios;
- Precision inspection: Use go/no-go gauges for general threads; control cumulative pitch error ≤0.01mm/m for high-precision threads;
- Fit verification: Pressure test for sealing threads; no jamming and noise ≤75dB during no-load operation for transmission threads.
- Thin-walled parts: Rough machining - stress relief - finish machining, reduce feed rate by 30%;
- Multi-start threads: Lead accuracy ≤0.02mm;
- Large-size threads (>50mm): Turn-mill composite machining, cutting depth ≤0.2mm per pass.
