HBA Series Double Column Welding Positioner with 360° Rotation, Heavy-Duty Worm Gear, and Remote Control Operation
When welding extremely long, awkward, or heavy structural assemblies—such as trailer frames, large-diameter pipes, or long structural beams—a standard single-base positioner cannot safely support the overhanging weight.
The HBA Series Double Column Welding Positioner provides the ultimate solution. Operating on a head-and-tail stock principle, it supports your massive workpiece from both ends. This allows welders to easily rotate long assemblies a full 360 degrees, ensuring every seam is welded in the optimal flat or horizontal position without relying on risky crane maneuvers.
- Smooth & Safe Rotation: The workplate rotates continuously (n*360°). The system features advanced stepless speed adjustment with a built-in buffer to slow down the impact of starting and stopping, preventing heavy loads from jerking or swaying.
- Massive Torque & Self-Locking: The rotation is driven by a heavy-duty worm and gear reducer transmission, delivering massive turning torque with a natural self-locking function that keeps the workpiece securely in place during power drops.
- Remote Shop-Floor Operation: Includes an industrial remote control box (IP45 insulation) with digital rotary speed adjustment display, precise speed adjustment knob, rotation control, start, emergency stop, and power/alarm indicators.
- Permanent Stability: Designed for heavy industrial fabrication, this dual-column system requires a concrete foundation before installation to guarantee absolute stability and alignment during extreme load handling.
Because no two fabrication shops are exactly alike, the HBA series can be highly customized to fit your specific production line:
If you weld parts of varying lengths, you can order the tail base mounted on a rail system.
- How it works: The distance between the two rotary plates can be adjusted by moving the tail base along the rails. Choose between a manual moving trolley for occasional adjustments or a fully motorized electric tail trolley for high-volume, fast-changing production lines.
- How it works: The rotary center of both columns can be equipped with a lifting function, allowing you to bolt your workpiece in at a lower height, then elevate the entire assembly to provide sufficient clearance for rotating wide or awkwardly shaped frames.

Note: Dimensions listed are for a single column unit. The overall length of your system will depend on your specific installation and rail distance.
A1: Yes. The system is designed to rotate long workpieces symmetrically. Torsional stress on your workpiece is avoided by ensuring smooth, synchronized rotation between the driving head and the supporting tail plate.
A2: When rotating a 40-ton structural frame, a sudden stop creates massive kinetic energy that can damage the machine's gears or snap the workpiece fixtures. Our system automatically ramps the speed down before stopping, absorbing that impact smoothly.
A3: Because of the massive loads and the necessity for the head and tail stocks to be perfectly aligned, this specific double-column equipment requires proper civil foundation engineering before installation. We will provide the foundation blueprints once your order is confirmed.
