This machine is designed for formation and capacity grading of high-capacity prismatic lithium-ion cells. Its 5V voltage range and maximum 200A charge-discharge current make it suitable for cell models whose operating voltage and current requirements fall within the equipment's specifications.
It can be suitable for lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic cells if their charging voltage, discharging voltage, and current requirements are within the machine's operating range. The 5V voltage range can accommodate many single-cell LFP testing applications, while the 200A current capacity supports high-current testing when required.
The machine charges and discharges prismatic cells according to preset test procedures and records their electrical performance, including charge and discharge capacity. After testing, cells can be classified into different capacity grades according to configured grading criteria. Battery manufacturers can then group cells with similar measured capacities for subsequent battery pack assembly.
