High Alumina Castable is an advanced refractory material engineered by mixing high-quality raw materials including bauxite, Mullite, andalusite, or Corundum as the primary aggregates. These are combined with finely ground additives such as Silica Powder and α-alumina powder to enhance density and thermal properties. Refractory cement acts as the key binder, ensuring cohesion and strength, while specialized chemical additives are incorporated to optimize performance parameters like workability, setting time, and resistance to thermal shock. The formulation is highly customizable and is frequently adjusted according to specific industrial applications—whether for ladles, furnaces, kilns, or incinerators—to meet varying operational demands.


In comparison to conventional dense castables, High Alumina Castable exhibits superior performance in extreme conditions. It is designed to withstand significantly higher operating temperatures, often exceeding 1600°C, while maintaining excellent structural integrity. Moreover, it demonstrates markedly higher Cold Crushing Strength (CCS), resulting in improved durability, longer service life, and enhanced resistance to mechanical wear and abrasion.
