The N 501/01 KNX blind shutter combo actuator combines four AC 230 V motor channels with eight binary inputs for versatile shading and input integration in one DIN rail device. Each of the four blind channels is rated at 6 A and uses paired relay contacts to drive sunblind, shutter, or awning motors. The eight binary inputs accept DC or AC signals from 12 to 230 V, enabling local pushbuttons, switches, or sensors to trigger functions and report status.

An integrated AC 230 V power supply keeps the unit operational even when the KNX bus is temporarily disconnected or communication fails. Each channel provides communication objects for driving to end positions, stopping, and stepwise slat adjustment, with percentage-based positioning and automatic slat opening after uninterrupted travel. The device supports 1-bit and 8-bit scene control with up to eight interim positions per channel, and an optional sun object allows integration into automated sunlight tracking systems. Manual and automatic modes can be switched locally, and alarm inputs move the blinds to a protected safety position and lock them.
