AP 257/61 KNX Advanced Outdoor Weather Station GPS Wind Brightness Rain 8 Facades 5WG1257-3AB61
The AP 257/61 KNX weather station is a mast or wall-mounted outdoor sensor unit with GPS positioning and precipitation detection for weather-responsive building automation. It measures wind speed from 2 to 30 m/s and provides three independent brightness sensors covering 1 to 100 klx, plus up to two external brightness sensor inputs. A heated precipitation sensor provides rain and snow detection. Date, time, and GPS position are transmitted via the KNX bus.
The device considers up to eight facade alignments and automatically activates or deactivates solar protection when sunny. Sun tracking control adjusts slat position for diffuse daylight while blocking glare. A safety alarm can deactivate solar protection based on external safety objects or logical operations. Four threshold switches provide two output objects each, and six logic operations support up to four inputs and two outputs each. The precipitation sensor heater requires an external 24 V DC, 210 mA supply.
