Thermal lamination film is produced by multi extrusion coating lines and consists of two layers: plastic film (primarily BOPP or PET) and adhesive glue (EVA). Also known as dry, hot, or heat lamination film.
Primarily used by printing houses for commercial and school printings, as well as graphic arts large format applications. The transparent film lamination (glossy or matte) is heated as protection on paper covers, sometimes referred to as paper lamination film.

The lamination process joins two or more layers to protect prints using a hot laminator (thermal lamination roller machine). The film passes over a heated roller and under reasonable pressure sticks to the paper surface by melting its EVA adhesive. This easy process can be done at home for small applications.
