PT-10 / PTC-10: 10-mm Carbon / Cermet Through-Hole Potentiometer
The Piher PT-10 and PTC-10 potentiometers are designed for applications requiring frequent adjustment. Their shaftless design allows for versatile integration with various engagement mechanisms, including custom shafts, motor controls, or human interface adjustments. These potentiometers are capable of controlling variable outputs such as frequency, motor speed, and volume. They offer excellent performance with up to 3% linearity, a choice of carbon or cermet resistive elements, and up to 16 mechanical detents for tactile feedback. With a life cycle of up to 100,000 cycles and IP54 protection, they are suitable for demanding environments. Available in magazine packaging for automatic insertion, these potentiometers feature polyester/alumina substrates and can have their wiper positioned at initial, 50%, or fully clockwise. Options for loose and assembled shafts and knobs, as well as linear, logarithmic, and antilogarithmic tapers, are available. Self-extinguishable plastic (UL 94V-0) and SPDT switch versions are also offered.
