Application Guidelines
Circuit Design: Ensure operating conditions are within specified limits for temperature and ripple current. Capacitors are polar and should not be subjected to reverse or AC voltage. Avoid overload voltage; the peak voltage (DC + ripple) must not exceed the rated voltage. For series connections, use balancing resistors. Avoid exposure to water, brine, oil, toxic gases, ozone, UV, or radiation. Severe vibration and mechanical shock should be avoided. Electrolyte and paper are flammable; avoid circuit patterns beneath the end seal. Do not place heat-generating components directly under the capacitor. Electrical characteristics may vary with temperature and frequency.
Mounting: Do not reuse capacitors after assembly and power application. For capacitors stored over 2 years, leakage current may increase; perform voltage treatment with a 1k resistor if needed. Confirm specifications and polarity before mounting. Do not drop or deform capacitors. Be mindful of mechanical shock from mounting equipment. Follow recommended reflow soldering conditions. Do not tilt, twist, or move the PC board by grasping the soldered capacitor. Avoid contact with other components or heat radiation after soldering. Cleaning: Do not use halogenated cleaning agents. Recommended cleaning methods involve immersion or ultrasonic cleaning within 2 minutes, with cleaning agent temperature below 40C, followed by hot air drying for at least 10 minutes. Avoid ozone-depleting cleaning agents.
In the Equipment: Do not touch terminals by hand. Avoid shorting terminals or spilling conductive liquids. Avoid water, oil, direct sunlight, UV, radiation, toxic gases, vibration, or mechanical shock in the operating environment.
Maintenance and Inspection: Periodically inspect appearance (e.g., vent opening, electrolyte leakage) and electrical characteristics (capacitance, tan , leakage current).
Emergency: In case of smoke from the safety vent, turn off the main switch. If gas is inhaled or electrolyte ingested, rinse with water. If skin is exposed to electrolyte, wash with soap and water.
Storage: Store in a dry indoor environment (5C-35C,
Disposal: Incinerate after crushing or making a hole on the capacitor body, or hand over to a waste disposal agent for landfill.
