Product Overview: The JIMSON MPC series capacitors are designed with non-inductive construction and self-healing properties, offering high moisture resistance and excellent physical and environmental adaptability. They are suitable for filtering and noise suppression circuits, pulse, logic, and timing circuits, as well as DC-blocking, by-passing, and signal coupling in communication equipment. These capacitors are also widely used in power electronic equipment for absorbing peak voltage and current during the switching of devices.

Important Terminology Explanations
- Rated Capacitance: Expressed by a three-digit number (e.g., 224 = 220,000pF or 0.22uF). Unit: pF. 1F=1,000mF=1,000,000uF=1,000,000,000nF=1,000,000,000,000pF.
- Capacitance Tolerance: Percentage deviation of actual capacitance from rated capacitance. Symbols: F=1%, G=2%, J=5%, K=10%, M=20%, N=30%.
- Dissipation Factor (DF): Measure of power loss in a capacitor under alternating voltage (ratio of active power to reactive power). Measured at 20 and 1kHz.
- Insulation Resistance (IR): Measure of capacitor's ability to retain electrical charge. Ratio of applied DC voltage to leakage current after 60s. Measured at T=20, RH65%. Expressed in megohms for low capacitance, or as a time constant (IR*C) for higher capacitance values.
- Self-healing: In metallized film capacitors, localized breakdown causes the thin metal layer around the weak point to evaporate, isolating the breakdown point and allowing the capacitor to self-heal without permanent short circuits.

- Soldering Suggestion: Max Soldering Temperature 270, Time 4S. Pre-heating 105, 1min.
- Salt Fog Test Condition: For tin-plated copper-clad steel leads, perform salt fog test after wave soldering.
- Storage Environment and Conditions: Store at T30, RH70%. Unopened MBB ensures 24 months shelf life. Avoid exposure to atmospheric pollutants (hydrogen chloride, hydrogen sulfide, sulfuric acid) and high temperature/humidity.
