Ferrite EMI Cable Cores
Laird's Ferrite EMI Cable Cores are designed to suppress electromagnetic interference in electronic devices. These cores are made from high-performance ferrite materials, offering efficient EMI shielding across various frequency ranges. They are suitable for a wide range of applications in the handset, telecommunications, IT, automotive, public safety, consumer, medical, rail, mining, and industrial markets. The cores are available in cylindrical and split/snap-on designs, facilitating easy installation on cables and wiring harnesses. Utilizing high-performance ferrite materials allows for smaller, lighter, and more cost-effective solutions compared to lower-performance alternatives. Additional turns through a core can provide multiple amounts of peak impedance, and installing cores near the noise source is recommended for optimal performance. Split cores are available for applications where cables cannot be fed through one-piece cores.
