The SCD5845 Series are unshielded SMD power inductors designed for surface mounting applications. These low-cost inductors feature a silver-plated type construction, offering small size with high rated current and low DC resistance. They are compliant with RoHS, Halogen Free, and REACH standards. Ideal for power supply applications in VTRs, LCD televisions, notebook PCs, portable communication equipment, and DC/DC converters.

Usage Reminders

  • Storage: Within 12 months under conditions (5~40C, 35-65% RH). Soldering may deteriorate if storage period elapses.
  • Environment: Avoid use or storage in corrosive gas environments (salt, acid, alkali, etc.).
  • Handling: Avoid direct contact with terminals by hands due to oil secretions. Handle products carefully to prevent damage from dropping.
  • Terminals: Do not bend terminals with excessive stress to prevent wire fracture.
  • Cleaning: Do not rinse coils. Contact manufacturer if cleaning is necessary.
  • Magnetic Fields: Do not expose to magnets or magnetic fields.
  • Preheating: Preheat components before soldering. Temperature difference between solder and chip should not exceed 150C.
  • Soldering Corrections: Perform after mounting within specified conditions. Overheating may cause short circuits, performance degradation, or reduced lifespan.
  • Self-heating: Account for self-heating (temperature increase) when power is on in thermal design.
  • Layout: For non-magnetic shield types, careful coil placement on the circuit board is required to prevent malfunctions due to magnetic interference.
