Application Guidelines Summary:

Circuit Design: Ensure operating conditions (temperature, ripple current) are within specified limits. Capacitors are polarized; avoid reverse/AC voltage. Use special design capacitors for rapid charge/discharge. Prevent excess voltage and ensure proper balancing when capacitors are in series. Outer sleeve is not an insulator; avoid short circuits with blank terminals. Do not expose to water, brine, oil, toxic gases, ozone, UV, or radiation. Ensure proper PC board hole spacing and clearance above safety vents. Do not place circuit patterns beneath the end seal or heat-generating components near capacitors. Electrical characteristics vary with temperature and frequency. Use appropriate torque for terminal screws. Balance current for parallel capacitors.

Mounting: Do not reuse assembled capacitors in other applications. Discharge capacitors before handling. Voltage treatment may be needed for parts stored over 6 months. Confirm ratings and polarity before installation. Avoid dropping or deforming capacitors. Ensure lead spacing matches PC board holes. Install snap-in types tightly.
