The SAMXON GT Series Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitors are polar, foil-type capacitors designed for use in electronic equipment. Meeting IEC60384 standards, these capacitors offer reliable performance with a wide operating temperature range of -40C to 105C. They are constructed with tinned CP wire leads, aluminum wire terminals, and an aluminum case, sealed with end seal rubber and finished with a PET vinyl sleeve. The GT series is suitable for various electronic applications requiring stable capacitance and low leakage current.

Terminal Strength Test Conditions

  • Tensile strength: Applied force to the terminal in lead out direction for 10 1 seconds.
  • Bending strength: Applied force to bent the terminal (1~4 mm from the rubber) for 90 within 2~3 seconds, then bent back for 90 to its original position within 2~3 seconds.

Load Life Test Conditions

  • Tested after 16 hours recovery time at atmospheric conditions.

Shelf Life Test Conditions

  • Stored with no voltage applied at 105 2 for 1000+48/0 hours.
  • Stabilized at room temperature for 4~8 hours.
  • DC rated voltage applied through a series limiting resistor (1k 100) for 30 min.
  • Tested after discharge.

Surge Test Conditions

  • Applied surge voltage through a (100 50)/CR (k) resistor.
  • 1000 cycles: 30 5s charge, 5 min 30s discharge.

  • Exposed for 500 8 hours in an atmosphere of 90~95% RH at 40 2.

Vent Test Conditions

  • Applies to products with vent (diameter 6.3mm).
  • DC Test: Capacitor connected with polarity reversed to a DC power source.
  • Current selected from Table 2.

Maximum Permissible Ripple Current

  • Maximum AC current at 100kHz and maximum operating temperature.
  • Combined DC voltage and peak AC voltage shall not exceed rated voltage and shall not reverse voltage.
