  • Shelf Life Test (105 for 1000 hrs): Criteria include leakage current, capacitance change (25%, or 30% for 6.3/10V), tan (200% of specified value), and no electrolyte leakage.
  • Surge Test: 1000 cycles of charge/discharge with specified resistor and conditions. Criteria include leakage current, capacitance change (15% of initial), tan, and no electrolyte leakage.
  • Vibration Test: 10Hz ~ 55Hz, 1.5mm amplitude for 2 hours in 3 directions. Criteria include no intermittent contacts, open/short circuits, terminal damage, electrolyte leakage, swelling, or illegible markings.
  • Solderability Test: Sn-Cu solder at 2503, 2mm dipping depth, 252.5mm/s speed, 30.5s time. Criteria: minimum 95% of immersed surface coated.

  • Change of Temperature Test: 5 cycles of temperature changes (-40/-25, +105). Criteria: leakage current, tan, and no electrolyte leakage.
  • Damp Heat Test (40, 90-95% RH for 500 hrs): Criteria: leakage current, capacitance change (20% of initial), tan (120% of specified value), and no electrolyte leakage.
  • Vent Test: For products with vent (diameter 6.3mm). DC test with reversed polarity and specified current. Criteria: vent operates without flames or dispersion of pieces.
  • Maximum Permissible Ripple Current: Maximum AC current at 120Hz and maximum operating temperature. Combined DC and peak AC voltage shall not exceed rated voltage. Frequency multipliers provided.
